Google Phone To T-Mobile?

Let me just preface this post with a total rumor disclaimer, to be read only with serious grains of salt. That being said, information has been passed along to me in a very James Bond type way from a trusty ninja who has yet to lead me astray. The information contains detail regarding the so called “Google phone.” According to this super ninja, magenta has landed the “Google Phone,” aka codename “Passion” (which … [read full article]

T-Mobile Should Focus On The Geeks

Saschasegan of PCMag is one of my favorite twitter contacts and I came across an article written yesterday discussing Open Source and what intrigued me were the closing paragraphs. He’s made no bones about being celebratory over T-Mobile’s Even More/Even More Plus plans and the way T-Mobile has attempted to change the rate plan game in the wireless industry. The reason to bring this forward is Sascha’s notion of how T-Mobile should “flirt with the geeks to … [read full article]

T-Mobile To Pickup iPhone In 2010?

The iPhone is arguably the most loved or loathed phone available right now, and AT&T has absolutely reaped tremendous rewards from being the sole carrier. However, Apple and AT&T know the exclusivity agreement between them won’t last forever since current estimates are putting iPhone exclusivity in jeopardy sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2010. So while rumors run amok regarding a possible Verizon/Apple venture, we ask the question, what about T-Mobile? Thankfully a Thomas Weisel analyst states … [read full article]

Sprint Is From Mars, T-Mobile Is From Venus

There is little argument T-Mobile didn’t post the kind of third quarter results they would have hoped for. Calling it less than impressive would be too kind, but this MSN Money writer is calling out T-Mobile dead in the water. Frankly, it’s a biased, opinionated writing by someone who appears to have more of a grudge against Magenta rather than an outright argument. I can’t invalidate his points, … [read full article]

T-Mobile 7.2Mbps HSPA Hath Cometh?!?

UPDATE: Its almost 3am and I’m up for some reason but I just wanted to clarify that we have yet to verify any upgrades actually took place in the last few days. Please take the following as a major rumor as we didn’t want to miss this happening, but there is currently little evidence to support it. —–David Reports are coming in of T-Mobile subscribers experiencing 7.2Mbps 3G speeds. The guys over an AndroidandMe have recieved reports of 7.2Mbps … [read full article]

T-Mobile Service Restored

T-Mobile was hit hard lately with their nationwide service outage which started at around 5pm EST and varied in areas. Some  included both voice and data, others included one or the other. But now T-Mobile confirms that they have fully restored all voice and data services and now are trying to find the culprit of the outage. T-Mobile sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience this may have caused.  We have to realize this happens to everyone, and yes it has happened at least once to all … [read full article]

Oh No! Nationwide Outage

UPDATE 1: As of 9:30pm est approximately only 5% of users are still experiencing a service disruption. The rapid response team which really equates to Catherine Zeta Jones flying from tower to tower is on the job. UPDATE 2: Please do not overload T-Mobile customer care regarding this issue, they are swamped, overloaded and they have as much information as you do!! Give them a break! Apparently, a nationwide voice outage is plaguing some users today.  This outage seems to be … [read full article]

Now This Makes More Sense

Now here is a deal that makes significantly more sense for Deutsche Telekom: T-mobile and Clearwire sitting in a tree.  Just a few weeks after rumors surfaced again of another Deutsche Telekom/Sprint acquisition the rumor mill turns to unnamed sources who claim talks are underway between the companies. Why does this make more sense for T-mobile you might ask? Clearwire allows T-mobile to make giant leaps forward in the [read full article]
