Yesterday, it was revealed that T-Mobile was the latest victim of a massive customer data breach. T-Mo has since confirmed the report in a statement. T-Mobile reveals data breach affecting prepaid customers

T-Mobile was recently hit with a data breach. T-Mo has revealed an incident in which a malicious party was able to access some prepaid customers’ account info. T-Mobile says that its cybersecurity team discovered and shut down the data breach and that it has reported the incident to the authorities. T-Mobile experienced a data breach on August 20th

UPDATE: T-Mobile has told Motherboard that the breach affected around 3 percent of its 77 million customers — around 2.3 million people — and that that the hackers were part of an “international group”.
