T-Mobile’s Challenger Strategy Continues With 100% Move To Value Plans In 2013

I’ve been saying this for months, but T-Mobile has made it official as the company will move 100% to Value Plan offerings in 2013. While many of you will be shocked by this move, I’m thrilled to see the company removing the two rate-plan scenario which confused far more customers than necessary. As the company sees 80% of all post-paid activations in stores as Value Plans, it makes sense for this transition to take place. … [read full article]

Apple, HTC Hand Over Licensing Agreement To Samsung Per Judge’s Orders

The details of Apple and HTC’s settlement agreement are now available, in some capacity at least thanks to the ongoing dispute between Apple and Samsung. The document is heavily redacted and the information pertaining specifically to the covered products and the fees paid by either side are all blacked out. So what is legible? How about Apple’s design patents and trade dress being unavailable to HTC. By all accounts, it looks as though Apple was willing to license hardware and … [read full article]

Taking the stage at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference earlier today, MetroPCS Chairman and CEO Roger Linquist and CFO Braxton Carter discussed the pending deal with T-Mobile. T-Mobile Set To Launch/Partner/Support New Prepaid Brand GoSmart Mobile

Say hello to GoSmart Mobile, a brand new ______ operated and trademark licensed to T-Mobile USA. I’ve intentionally left a blank space in the sentence before because I’m honestly not sure what this is… It’s not an MVNO in the traditional sense. It’s a prepaid carrier, that much looks clear, and ownership records tell us that Deutsche Telekom used a “Corporation Service Company” to trademark the name in the US. So, we know this is owned by … [read full article]

Don’t tell that to the Spanish or Italians though. T-Mobile has confirmed the pricing as a typo and states it will be corrected on the website shortly.  No, your eyes are not deceiving you as the Nexus 4 returns to T-Mobile.com for … [read full article]
