Today T-Mobile announced that it will be offering an inductive charging pad for the myTouch 3G handset. The Go Charging Pad will include a new backplate for the handset that, when installed, lets the device charge wirelessly when placed on the pad. Interestingly, the pad will use magnetic induction to transfer energy from the pad to the phone’s battery. It works the same way Palm’s Touchstone charger for the Palm Pre device works. Hmm, here is a bit of interesting news. Reuters is reporting that T-Mo is trying to find a way to boost its spectrum capacity. Within this goal, the company is considering forming a joint venture with Clearwire. T-Mobile has announced that it has joined WaveMarket’s Veriplace Cloud Location Platform Initiative. This initiative will provide developers of mobile apps and services with APIs to enable new geo-location features. Well, it looks like T-Mobile delivered on its promise of releasing an OTA(Over-The-Air) update for G1 users by their self-imposed deadline of March 15th. Well, its over! T-Mobile has ended its year old search deal with Yahoo. It comes as no surprise to hear that Magenta has replaced Yahoo with its biggest rival—Google. Power and Associates has awarded T-Mobile USA the highest ranking in wireless retail customer satisfaction among the major U.S. carriers.
