Google Phone To T-Mobile?

Let me just preface this post with a total rumor disclaimer, to be read only with serious grains of salt. That being said, information has been passed along to me in a very James Bond type way from a trusty ninja who has yet to lead me astray. The information contains detail regarding the so called “Google phone.” According to this super ninja, magenta has landed the “Google Phone,” aka codename “Passion” (which … [read full article]

T-Mobile Should Focus On The Geeks

Saschasegan of PCMag is one of my favorite twitter contacts and I came across an article written yesterday discussing Open Source and what intrigued me were the closing paragraphs. He’s made no bones about being celebratory over T-Mobile’s Even More/Even More Plus plans and the way T-Mobile has attempted to change the rate plan game in the wireless industry. The reason to bring this forward is Sascha’s notion of how T-Mobile should “flirt with the geeks to … [read full article]

TmoNews Goes Hands On With Samsung Behold 2

The list of phones these days that actually gets me into a frenzy remains remarkably short considering my nerd-like excitement over new devices.   That being said, the Samsung Behold 2 was on the short list of phones I was really looking forward to getting for a hands-on evaluation and, thanks to the fine folks at Samsung, TmoNews has its very first review device.

Second Analyst Predicts T-Mobile iPhone

While the first article this week was met with indifference and laughter from the fine folks who run the gadget blogosphere, a second analyst has now stated that T-Mobile is a prime candidate for the iPhone. I can appreciate the arguments that without Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint are the only logical choices, but those obvious facts aren’t what is truly important. The opportunity for consumer choice, and the removal of the … [read full article]

Set to improve battery life, touchscreen and Bluetooth response, the Cliq is in need of a fast fix. With yesterday’s reports of less than impressive sales combined with a rumored shift from T-Mobile marketing buzz for the Cliq, Motorola needed to address these issues quickly. And while the Cliq may be … [read full article]

LG And T-Mobile USA Looking To Partner Up?

One of the questions I get asked the most is why doesn’t T-Mobile carry any phones from LG? While that’s a question I can’t answer, the good folks at Telecomskorea believe that’s about to change. As LG has watched its relationship with Verizon, their predominant North American partner decline, LG is looking to find alternative partners in the US to stop its declining market share. According to the article, T-Mobile officials “reportedly” visited LG’s headquarters in Seoul … [read full article]

T-Mobile Losing Interest In Motorola Cliq?

While hype for the Motorola Cliq was high, sales of the phone have unfortunately turned out to be unexpectedly low. So low in fact, that Oppenheimer analyst Ittai Kidron says T-Mobile has actually lost interest in the device–due in part to lingering issues with battery life, which I can personally attest as my own reason for not sticking with the phone. T-Mobile spokeswoman Alexandra Trask told FierceWireless that sales have been positive and disputes reports that Cliq … [read full article]

T-Mobile To Pickup iPhone In 2010?

The iPhone is arguably the most loved or loathed phone available right now, and AT&T has absolutely reaped tremendous rewards from being the sole carrier. However, Apple and AT&T know the exclusivity agreement between them won’t last forever since current estimates are putting iPhone exclusivity in jeopardy sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2010. So while rumors run amok regarding a possible Verizon/Apple venture, we ask the question, what about T-Mobile? Thankfully a Thomas Weisel analyst states … [read full article]
