T-Mobile Galaxy S8 and S8+ gain security updates
The OnePlus 6T isn’t the only T-Mobile phone that’s being treated to a new software update.
T-Mobile is updating its versions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The new updates began rolling out recently and are bumping the Galaxy S8 to version G950USQU5CRK1, while the Galaxy S8+ is moving to version G955USQU5CRK1. Galaxy S8 owners, your update is 259.47MB, while S8+ owners are getting a 254.55MB update.
As for what’s included, both phones are getting the November 1, 2018 Android security patches. It’s unclear what else there might be inside, as T-Mo hasn’t yet updated its support pages for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ with info on these updates yet.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners that haven’t already updated can check for their update manually by going into Settings > Software update > Download updates manually. Once you’ve updated, let us know if you find anything new and shiny!
Thanks, Joanna!
