iPhone 5s and 5c for $0 down this Black Friday weekend only [UPDATE: Confirmed]
We love a good leak here at TmoNews, and this has got to be one of the best Black Friday deals we’ve seen so far this year. According to some field sales news, for three days only, you’ll be able to get either of Apple’s latest iPhones for $0 down on EIP. The offer applies on iPhone 5s and 5c from Friday, November 29th through Sunday, December 1st. That’s a $149 saving up front on the iPhone 5s and a $49 saving on the 5c. A select number of stores will be accepting orders from Thursday evening.
Staff have been instructed to print and place new iPhone price cards and have them in place for store opening on November 29th. As you can also see from the picture above, on Cyber Monday, there’s still some heavy discount, but not quite $0 down. iPhone 5c will be available for $9.99 down, and 5s will be $49.99. In-store pricing on Cyber Monday will differ from what’s available on T-Mobile.com. We’re unsure if this change in upfront cost will affect monthly EIP payments, but we’ll update the post as soon as we find out.
This joins the great deals already announced by T-Mobile on some of the best handsets around, including the HTC One, Note 3, Galaxy S4 and LG G2.
[UPDATE: T-Mobile has confirmed the offer
The limited-time $0 down promotion is available for well-qualified customers from Friday, Nov. 29 through Sunday, Dec. 1 at participating T-Mobile retail stores. During this period, customers can get iPhone 5s in the 16GB model for $0 down with 24 equal monthly payments of $27.00, with a no annual service contract Simple Choice Plan. Customers can get iPhone 5c in the 16GB model for $0 down with 24 equal monthly payments of $22.91. Well-qualified customers can get the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S4 for $0 down with 24 equal monthly payments of $29.50 and $25.00, respectively, with a no annual service contract Simple Choice Plan.
iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S4 will be $0 down online for one day only on “Cyber Monday,” Dec. 2 at www.t-mobile.com.
Instead of saving money overall – as suspected – the discount is then covered by raising the monthly payments. Instead of paying the $20.38 per month on the 5s and 5c, you’ll pay $27 and $22.91 per month on the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c respectively.
All-in-all, you’ll save your self a handsome $0.07 on the iPhone 5c over the 24-month EIP. On the iPhone 5s, the saving over 2 years is $1.91. On the plus side, you do save money up front, even if the long-term cost is exactly the same.]
