T-Mobile’s #GetOutoftheRed promo is coming to an end
A long-running T-Mobile promotion is coming to an end.
T-Mobile has revealed that its #GetOutoftheRed promotion is ending soon. A T-Mo support page discovered by Reddit user MattKirky says that if you want to take advantage of #GetOutoftheRed, the last activate date to be eligible is October 31st and the last port-in date to be eligible for submission is November 7th. Since you need to submit an offer within 30 days of completing your activation and port-in, the final day to submit for offer is December 7th.
Launched back in mid-2017, the #GetOutoftheRed promo is aimed at getting Verizon customers to make the switch to T-Mobile. With this offer, owners of eligible devices can switch from Verizon to T-Mobile and have their remaining device payments paid off, letting them keep their device to use on T-Mo.
Devices eligible for #GetOutoftheRed include the iPhone SE through the XR, XS, and XS Max; the Google Pixel through Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL; and Samsung Galaxy S8 and S9 series as well as the Note 8 and Note 9.
It’s kind of surprising to see that #GetOutoftheRed lasted for two-and-a-half years, but it must have kept Verizon customers interested in switching. There’s no mention from T-Mobile on exactly why it’s ending now, but T-Mo does still have its Carrier Freedom offer for interested switchers. With that deal, T-Mo will pay off your remaining service contract and device payments if you port your number to T-Mobile, trade in your old device, and finance a new phone.
We also know that T-Mo is making a big New T-Mobile Un-carrier 1.0 announcement next week, so perhaps the carrier is cooking up a new promo as part of that announcement.
