Apple Watch Series 5 and new 10.2-inch iPad are coming to T-Mobile
The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro aren’t the only new Apple devices coming to T-Mobile.
Both the Apple Watch Series 5 and new iPad (7th Gen.) will be available from T-Mobile. Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 5 will begin this Friday, September 13, at 5:00 am PT/8:00 am ET, and the new smartwatch will be available in stores starting September 20. The new iPad will launch at T-Mobile on September 30.
The major upgrade for the Apple Watch Series 5 is an always-on display. Using Low-Temperature Polysilicone and Oxide (LPTO) display tech, an ultra-low power display driver, and a new ambient light sensor, the Apple Watch Series 5 can always show your time and complications, or your workout if you’re exercising. The screen is dimmed in always-on display mode, but you can raise your wrist or tap on the screen to brighten it back up.
Apple says that even with the always-on display, the Apple Watch Series 5 offers 18-hour battery life.
The other major new feature of the Apple Watch Series 5 is its built-in compass. With it, you can see heading, incline, latitude, longitude, and the current elevation.
The Apple Watch Series 5 will be available in aluminum and stainless steel finishes as well as new titanium and ceramic models. Pricing starts at $399 for the aluminum GPS model or $499 for the aluminum GPS + Cellular version, while the stainless steel models start at $699. If you’d prefer a more premium finish, the titanium Apple Watch Series 5 starts at $799, while the top-end ceramic version starts at $1,299.
Meanwhile, the new iPad (7th Gen.) has been upgraded to a 10.2-inch 2160×1620 display, up from the 9.7-inch screen on the iPad (6th Gen.) model. The new iPad also comes with support for the Smart Keyboard accessory for the first time. Apple Pencil (1st Gen.) support is in there, too.
Other notable features of the new iPad include an Apple A10 Fusion processor, 8MP rear camera, 1.2MP FaceTime HD front cam, stereo speakers, nano-SIM and eSIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
The cellular version of the iPad (7th Gen.) includes support for LTE bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/11/12/13/14/17/18/19/20/21/25/26/29/30/34/38/39/40/41/66/71.
Apple’s new iPad will be avialable in Space Gray, Silver, and Gold colors and 32GB and 128GB storage options. Pricing starts at $329 for the 32GB model and goes up to $429 for the 128GB version. If you’d like built-in cellular connectivity, you can expect to pay $459 for the 32GB iPad or $559 for the 128GB flavor.
