T-Mobile sending out Galaxy S9 and S9+ security updates

galaxy_s9_plus_rear_2

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S7 got software updates from T-Mobile in the past week, and now the Galaxy S9 is being updated, too.

T-Mobile is now sending updates to its Galaxy S9 and S9+. If you’ve got a Galaxy S9, you should be on the lookout for an update to version G960USQS6CSGB, while Galaxy S9+ owners should watch for an update to version G965USQS6CSGB.

Included in these updates are the July 1, 2019 Android security patches, just like the S7 and S8 phones recently got.

TmoNews reader Casey received the Galaxy S9 update today, so if you’ve got an S9 or S9+, you should see this security update hit your device soon. You also have the option of checking for the update manually by launching your Settings app and then going into “Software update” and tapping “Download updates manually”.

Thanks, Casey!
