LG V40 ThinQ owners, T-Mobile has a present for you as we head into the weekend.
The T-Mobile LG V40 ThinQ is now being updated to Android 9.0 Pie. As you might expect from an update to Pie, this V40 update is a biggie, coming in at 1796.3MB. It’s now rolling out over the air, and TmoNews reader Emmanuel and some folks on Reddit have already gotten it.
Neither T-Mobile nor LG have posted any changelogs for this Android Pie update yet. If it’s anything like the Verizon LG V40’s update to Pie, though, it’ll include home touch buttons with gestures like swiping up to switch to Overview and swiping right to view the most recently used app, the ability to go live with YouTube Live from the camera app, a game launcher that’ll keep your games in one place, and a Dual App feature that’ll let you use two apps simultaneously with different accounts.
LG V40 ThinQ owners who haven’t yet updated can launch the Settings app, go to the General tab, and then tap Update center > System update > Check for update to try and download Android Pie manually. Once you’ve upgraded your LG V40 to Pie, let us know what you think of the update!
Thanks, Emmanuel!
