Motorola has already confirmed that the Moto G7 Power is coming to T-Mobile, but that may not be the only Moto G7 variant headed for T-Mo’s shelves.
The Moto G7 Plus may also launch at T-Mobile. A Motorola device with the model number XT1965-T was recently spotted in the FCC, and it includes references to T-Mobile in the documents. The name “Moto G7 Plus” is nowhere to be found, but the model number XT1965 does match up with the Moto G7 Plus. What’s more, Reddit user cstark notes that the IMEI listed in this FCC filing will get you a device named “Lake”, which is the Moto G7 Plus’s codename.
Meanwhile, the Moto G7 Power carries the model number XT1955 and the codename “Ocean”.
The specs for the Moto G7 Plus include a 6.2-inch 2270×1080 display with a waterdrop notch and a 12MP front-facing camera. Around back is a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP camera that includes optical image stabilization and a 5MP depth camera to help you capture photos with blurry backgrounds. Inside the water repellent shell is a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot.
Rounding out the Moto G7 Power’s spec list is a rear fingerprint reader, a 3000mAh battery, a USB-C port for charging, and fast charging support. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack on there, too, and stereo speakers for those times when you don’t want to use headphones.
Neither Motorola nor T-Mobile have made any official announcements about a Moto G7 Plus launch, but this FCC entry does seem to hint that a release is in their plans. Stay tuned for more on this as it becomes available.
