T-Mobile Galaxy S10 update includes camera and fingerprint sensor enhancements
The Samsung Galaxy S10 may not officially launch until tomorrow, but T-Mobile is already sending out a software update to Samsung’s new flagships.
T-Mobile has announced software updates for the Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e. Galaxy S10 owners should be on the lookout for version G973USQU1ASBA, Galaxy S10+ users will get version G975USQU1ASBA, and Galaxy S10e owners will get version G970USQU1ASBA. Each update is listed at around 450MB.
As for what’s included, T-Mobile says that all three phones are getting camera and fingerprint feature enhancements as well as security patches.
TmoNews reader Derek received this update on his Galaxy S10+ yesterday when it arrived early, and there are some T-Mobile customers on Reddit who say they’ve gotten the update as well. So if you’re one of the lucky folks who got their S10 early, you can check for your update by going into Settings > Software update > Download updates manually. If you’re buying on launch day, don’t be surprised if you see an update available when you take your phone out of the box.
Thanks, Derek!
