Heads up, Costco members, because there are some smartphone deals available with the warehouse retailer right now.
First up, T-Mobile customers can get up to $500 back when they buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from Costco. You’ll need to buy a Note 9 at full price ($949.99) and trade in a qualifying Samsung device. Once you do, you’ll get up to $500 as a combination of a one-time bill credit and prepaid MasterCard.
The devices that qualify for trade-in include:
- $500 savings: Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Active, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Active, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Duos, Galaxy S7 Edge Duos
- $250 savings: Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S5 Neo, Galaxy S5 Prime, Galaxy S5 Active, Galaxy S5 Duos, Galaxy S5 Sport
T-Mobile is running a similar deal on the Galaxy Note 9, but one of the big differences is that T-Mo’s offer gives you your savings in the form of 24 monthly bill credits while Costco’s is a one-time bill credit and prepaid MasterCard. You do need to be a Costco member and buy the Note 9 at full price for this deal, but if you meet those requirements, this is an offer to consider. It’s only available through August 30th, though, so you don’t have long to take advantage of it.
Meanwhile, T-Mo is offering a $680 rebate when you buy two Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, or Galaxy Note 8 phones from Costco. You’ll need to buy both phones at full retail price to get this deal, and existing customers will need to add a line of service while new customers will need two new lines. If you canceled a line on or after August 19th, you’re not eligible for this promo, though you can restore a recently canceled line and add an additional line to get it.
Once you meet those requirements, you’ll need to visit T-Mobile’s promotions webpage and enter the promo code C18SAMB1G1. You’ll then receive your $680 rebate card within 6-8 weeks.
