T-Mobile’s latest Un-carrier move has been revealed.
Starting September 12th, T-Mobile One customers can get a free Netflix subscription. To qualify for a free Netflix subscription, you’ll need two or more voice lines on a T-Mobile One plan. T-Mo says that customers with free lines from the recent “line-on-us” deals also qualify.
T-Mobile customers on the Unlimited 55+ or 2-lines-for-$100 plans will need to switch to the latest T-Mobile One plan to qualify for Netflix On Us.
The Netflix plan that you’ll get with your qualifying T-Mobile One plan is the standard $9.99 plan, which includes two streams at once. If you’d like to upgrade to the $11.99 premium Netflix plan that includes Ultra HD and HDR, you can do so and T-Mobile will add the $2 difference to your bill every month.
Speaking of HDR, T-Mobile has confirmed that Netflix HDR is available to T-Mo customers with a Netflix HDR-capable phone like the Galaxy Note 8, including customers on plans that have 480p video streaming.
One other detail worth noting that if you’ve already signed up for Netflix, T-Mobile will cover the cost of your subscription, too.
If you’re on a qualifying T-Mobile One plan with two or more voice lines, you can enroll in Netflix On Us on September 12th. You’ll be able to enroll on T-Mobile’s website, in a T-Mobile store, or by calling T-Mo customer support.
So now that the latest Un-carrier move has been revealed, what do you think of it? If you’re not already on a qualifying T-Mobile One plan, will you be switching to take advantage of the Netflix On Us offer?
