T-Mobile LG V10 getting its Android 7.0 Nougat update

Looks like it’s time for another T-Mobile phone to be updated to Android Nougat.

T-Mobile says that it’s now updating its LG V10 to Android 7.0. The update began rolling out this week and includes an E911 timer fix and Google software and stability fixes in addition to the bump to Nougat.

As one might expect from a major upgrade like this, the V10’s update is pretty large. It weighs in at 1366MB, so you may want to find a speedy Wi-Fi network before attempting to download it.

If you’ve got a T-Mobile LG V10, you can check for this update by going into Settings > General > About phone > Update Center > System updates > Check for update.

The LG V10 was originally announced way back in October 2015 with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, so it’s pretty cool to see it getting a major update nearly two years later to Android 7.0 Nougat. The fact that it’s nearing its second birthday means that there probably aren’t many more big updates planned for the V10, but at least folks that are using the phone are getting treated to a Nougat treat before the V10 turns two.
