MetroPCS customers get Scam ID and Scam Block this week

T-Mobile often pushes features that it offers its own customers to those on MetroPCS, and today that’s exactly what’s happening with two features that launched on T-Mo earlier this year.

Starting tomorrow, July 25th, MetroPCS customers are getting Scam ID and Scam Block. The two features will be automatically enabled on that date for all MetroPCS customers.

You can check to see if Scam Block is enabled or disabled for you by dialing #STS# (#787#). If you’d like to turn it off, you can do so by dialing #OFB# (#632#), and it can be turned on by dialing #ONB# (#662#).

With Scam ID, your phone will show a “Scam Likely” warning when you’re getting a phone that that’s suspected to be spam. If you’d prefer to never see those calls at all, you can enable Scam Block and the network will prevent those suspected spam calls from reaching your phone.

Even if you don’t fall for scam calls, they can still be annoying when they ring your phone and distract you from whatever it is that you’re doing. Now MetroPCS customers don’t have to wonder if that call from the unknown phone number is worth picking up, or they can simply block those types of calls from disrupting their day altogether.
