Days after T-Mobile pushed updates to its Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, it’s begun updating another pair of Samsung phones.
The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ are now receiving a security update. TmoNews reader Jean Carlos received an update on his Note 5 today that weighed in at 14.34MB. The update for the S6 edge+ is similarly small, coming in at 14.46MB.
As for what’s included, the update says that it improves the security of the device. Jean Carlos found that his Note 5 was still on the January 1, 2017 security level after installing the update, though, so apparently it doesn’t include new Android security patch level. T-Mobile’s support site says that the updates include “Various system improvements.”
If you’ve got a Galaxy Note 5 or S6 edge+, you should see the new update hit your phone over the coming days. You can also check for it manually by going into Settings > About device > Download update manually.
Thanks, Juan Carlos!
