John Legere teased last month that Un-carrier 11 is “coming soon,” and now details of the upcoming Un-carrier move have leaked.
The Un-carrier 11 move will be focused on giving its subscribers gifts, according to a report from VentureBeat. It’s said that T-Mobile will launch an app called T-Mobile Tuesdays that will gift subscribers a Domino’s pizza, Wendy’s Frosty, and Vudu movie download every week, as well as the chance to win movie tickets, trips, and gift cards. T-Mobile may even give eligible subscribers the chance to get a quarter-share of T-Mobile stock within two weeks of the Un-carrier 11 event.
Speaking of an event, it’s said that T-Mobile is currently aiming to hold its Un-carrier 11 event on June 6. The Un-carrier 11 move will reportedly be marketed with the hashtag #GetThanked.
Past Un-carrier moves have largely focused on rate plans and services, like Music Freedom and Data Stash. Un-carrier 11 might switch things up, though. Giving subscribers a free pizza, Frosty, and movie download every week would certainly be an interesting move, as usually when we see a carrier giving something away to customers, it’s the chance to win a vacation or something like that. While still unconfirmed, giving away free food and a movie download for a fun night each week would fit with T-Mo’s history of making unique moves.
What do you think of this rumor? Would you like to get a free pizza, Frosty, and movie download every week?
