Good news, everyone! One week after the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge got their Android 6.0 updates, the Note 5 and S6 edge+ are getting their own tastes of Marshmallow.
T-Mobile is now pushing Android 6.0.1 updates to both its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. The updates are both rather large, coming in at more than 1GB. As for what’s included, Note 5 and S6 edge+ owners can expect to find goodies like Google Now on Tap and improved app permissions.
TmoNews readers with the Note 5 and S6 edge+ have pinged me to say that they’re getting Android 6.0.1, so if you own one of these phones, you should keep an eye out for your own update. Alternatively, you can check for it manually by going into Settings > About device, Software update.
Lots of Note 5 and S6 edge+ owners have been clamoring for their Android 6.0 updates for a while now, and that hunger for Marshmallow grew after the S6 and S6 edge got their updates last week. Thankfully, Note 5 and S6 edge+ owners only had to wait one week after the S6 and S6 edge got updated to receive updates of their own.
Have you gotten Marshmallow on your Note 5 or S6 edge+? If so, how’s the update treating you so far?
Thanks, Jesse, Dominic, and Matt!
