John Legere’s second holiday video puts him in the kitchen
Last week, John Legere released his annual holiday video, and this year’s version showed him leading a Magenta chorus and throwing jabs at the other US carriers to the tune of popular Christmas songs. One holiday video wasn’t enough for Legere, though, because today he surprised us with another.
This new video shows John Legere in the kitchen with his beloved slow cooker as well as a bunch of pretty fancy-looking Un-carrier cookies. And this time around, the focus of the video is being thankful rather than knocking the competition. That includes things like T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network that covers 303 million people, T-Mo employees that helped Magenta to win a J.D. Power customer care award, beating out the other national carriers in a Consumer Reports survey, and the 28 million customers that’ve joined T-Mobile since Un-carrier 1.
Of course, it wouldn’t be like John Legere to not take a couple of shots at AT&T and Verizon. He shows off some cookies that show AT&T’s logo looking like the Death Star and Verizon’s new logo with a line through it, followed by calling Randall Stephenson (AT&T CEO) and Lowell McAdam (Verizon CEO) names that include several seconds’ worth of expletives.
This new video doesn’t have any memorable tunes that’ll get phrases like “Sprint like hell, Sprint like hell, they copy all the way” stuck in your head, but it’s nice for Legere to make a second video that focuses on the T-Mobile employees and customers that’ve helped to make the past couple of years so great for Team Magenta.
