Although it only plays nice with one of T-Mobile’s LTE bands, we figured you’d like to hear about an awesome offer from the folks at OnePlus. For this week only, the OnePlus One is going to be subject to a series of flash sales. Each day, from today until June 7, the OnePlus One will be available for as little as $249. There are limited quantities available each day, so your best bet of snagging one at the special price is to be sure to get there early every day.
The 16GB Silk White model will cost you $249, while the 64GB Sandstone Black model will set you back $299 from these times every day:
June 1 – 12:00 GMT (8 am EST)
June 2 – 2:00 GMT (10 pm EST -1 day)
June 3 – 12:00 GMT (8 am EST)
June 4 – 2:00 GMT (10 pm EST -1 day)
June 5 – 12:00 GMT (8 am EST)
June 6 – 2:00 GMT (10 pm EST -1 day)
June 7 – 12:00 GMT (8 am EST)
OnePlus notes in its blog post that – although it doesn’t make money with the One – it decided to experiment with pricing. The only frustration in this deal is that – with all the interest – it appears the OnePlus.net site is slowing down under the strain.
Although I questioned the claim that it was a “flagship killer”, for the price, the OnePlus One is one of the best phones on the market. Of course, we’re hoping that the OnePlus Two is just as disruptive when it lands on the market this summer. More importantly for T-Mo fans, we hope it supports more LTE bands. Specifically: The 1900MHz and 700MHz bands.
What do you guys make of the deal? Will you be picking one up as a spare, or as a main device?
