T-Mobile is on a mission to change the wireless industry and is now applying its Un-carrier approach to quarterly reporting. Scripted remarks will be kept to a minimum in order to provide more time for free-flowing dialogue with analysts, investors, and media on the call. The company will also take questions via Twitter at the company’s new IR handle: @TMobileIR.
Legere states that he wants to replace the “endless drone of scripts with open exchanges” and will turn to Twitter to do so. Investors, analysts and media will be able to quiz the executive team using the uber-popular social network, instead of needing to call in, punch codes and go through all that rigmarole.
If you want to listen in, you still can. Just head on over to http://investor.t-mobile.com next week when the call is due to take place and tune in to the webcast.
Legere is also due to be part of Re/code’s Code/Mobile event next Monday, October 27 after the earnings materials are published for the following day. That particular event takes place at 7:30pm Pacific (10:30pm Eastern), in Half Moon Bay, CA.
