T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 4 only officially launches today, but those who received their pre-orders earlier this week have already got their first software updates. And before you get too excited, no, it’s not Android 5.0. Instead, it’s a small (~65MB) update issued to fix some performance problems. Chief among those is battery performance.
The carrier’s support site is yet to be updated with the new software details, but if you have a Galaxy Note 4, you should receive a notification telling you it’s available to download. If you don’t, go in to your settings menu and check manually. As always, let us know if you notice anything remarkably different in performance after you’ve installed.
