As the year winds down we’re in a bit of a T-Mobile news lull and while that’s fairly standard coming off the holidays, it makes for the only time I’ll ever allow the words “slow news day” on the website. With that in mind, we’ll take a look at some of the other happenings around the web with a T-Mobile twist of course.
- The amazing minds at CyanogenMod have released nightlies for CM10.1 for some T-Mobile devices including the Galaxy Tab 10.1 on T-Mobile, Galaxy S II and Galaxy S III, as well as the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.
- Hopes that the Galaxy Note II would be released in black were dashed as the mocked up image was found to be a fan render and not an official stock image. There was no sign a black Note II would arrive on T-Mobile, but we all know how T-Mobile likes to change-up colors. See HTC One S and Galaxy S III.
- ZTE Wombat for T-Mobile passes through the FCC as noticed by the folks at Phonescoop. With WCDMA on the 1700 band, we’re looking at a 3G device with a 2 megapixel camera and a non-smartphone operating system. This suggests the device could be a prepaid device with just the basics on board.
