After some early morning news over Samsung’s timetable for a Galaxy S III Jelly Bean Android 4.1 upgrade, comes word that a new maintenance update is on the way for S III owners. It’s a pretty minor maintenance update (Jelly Bean it isn’t) with two notable improvements:

• Resolved Media Hub playback issues — likely related to reports over The Avengers
• Pinch & Zoom backend changes — no visible user changes

The update is available both over-the-air and through Samsung Kies pc software. If you want to try to push it through now, hit Settings > About device > Software update and give it a try.
