Through a statement to the Taiwan Stock Exchange, HTC is now publicly saying that “some of our products have passed the review and have been delivered to our telecoms operators’ clients in the US.” HTC has been engaged in a battle with US Customs for permission to bring the HTC One X for AT&T, HTC EVO 4G LTE for Sprint and possibly a smaller shipment of HTC Amaze 4G devices for T-Mobile inside the US. The ongoing patent battle with Apple had stopped incoming HTC shipments of those particular devices. HTC sent a vaguely brief statement over to Android Central:
“Each imported HTC model must be reviewed by Customs and will be released once Customs officials have completed the inspection. Some models have gone through inspection and been released to our carrier customers. We don’t have the status of each specific device model at this time, but we are working closely with Customs. We remain confident that this issue will be resolved soon.”
