T-Mobile Introduces Two myTouch by LG Smartphones
T-Mobile just sent out a midnight press release announcing the upcoming availability of two new Android powered smartphones that are part of T-Mobile’s signature myTouch line. Introducing the T-Mobile myTouch and T-Mobile myTouch Q. Both devices will run on T-Mobile’s 4G network, a pleasant surprise considering our leaked roadmap didn’t indicate both devices as being 4G capable.
The myTouch has a 3.8″ touchscreen with a virtual keyboard powered by swype while the myTouch Q is equipped with a 3.5″ touchscreen with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Both phones are designed with ease-of-use in mind and will each come in two separate color schemes. The myTouch will be offered in both black and white while the myTouch Q will be available in gray or violet. Both devices are powered by Android 2.3 and a 1GHz Qualcomm processor along with 5 megapixel cameras and 720p HD video recording.
T-Mobile’s release indicates both phones will be available in time for the holiday season though we of course have plenty of reason to suspect November 2nd is the launch date. T-Mobile will have a dedicated website for more information about both devices at http://www.t-mobile.com/myTouchbyLG although at the time of this writing the website is not live.
