It goes without saying that smartphone exclusivity typically ends at some point, but as we can officially confirm this evening, Verizon has the exclusive launch rights on the Galaxy Nexus. While there is every indication that a T-Mobile HSPA+ compatible model exists, getting it subsidized might take a little longer to achieve than some of you hoped.
For now, it may appear that when the Galaxy Nexus officially launches, finding an unlocked version online is your best and possibly only option. For now. This could be a 30, 60 or 90 day exclusive deal and then the Galaxy Nexus can run amuck among all the carriers. We’ll be listening to the rumor mill intently to try and get more info.
