This saga just won’t end, and frankly I’m kind of sick of it. Anyways, Verizon’s COO Lowell McAdam came out saying that he believes the merger will go through, mostly because “AT&T needs the spectrum and is motivated enough to [acquire T-Mobile], and will agree with what the government will want.” So essentially, he thinks that it will go through because AT&T just wants it and had money. I’m still betting on the underdog. If you read into it, though, it still doesn’t quite sound like Verizon is taking a side, which is all well and good for them. The only thing they have to worry about, after all, is changes in policy if the merger does goes through.
