We just received this internal screenshot showing T-Mobile’s plan to increase the price of the T-Mobile G2x tomorrow due to “inventory constraints.” I suppose we have truly entered the era of the $300 smartphone now that T-Mobile is taking a lesson from Verizon who priced the DROID Charge at $299.99 when it launched earlier this month. The G2x will now cost $299.99 with a $50 mail in rebate for a net 2 year contract price of $249.99. Let’s hope this price increase is just temporary while T-Mobile replenishes it’s inventory.
Also of note is T-Mobile reiterating their position that a “small percentage of users” are experiencing difficulty with the device and that they are working with LG to deliver a fix. Let’s hope that fix arrives soon for the sake of those suffering from random reboots that are plaguing a number of G2x owners.
