Not to be overshadowed by tonight’s launch news, T-Mobile is also announcing the expansion of their 4G network. With expansion into more than 100 major metro markets reaching more than 200 million people T-Mobile is ready to add a few more. Starting today, February 2nd, Albany, Augusta, Columbus and Macon, GA, Chattanooga, TN, Champaign, IL, Lansing, MI and Rochester, MN are all riding the 4G train.

With plans to aggressively speed up the 4G network in 2011, T-Mobile hopes to have 140 million people covered in 25 major metro markets covered with HSPA+ 42Mbps speeds by midyear.
